WINTER HAVEN- Mrs. Annie Broom Goodman, 90, of Winter Haven, FL died Friday, May 4th at Heart of Florida Hospital due to heart failure. Born June 6th, 1921 in Cottondale, Florida to Perry and Elmeada Broom, she moved with her family to Winter Haven in 1933. She worked as a sectionizer for Bordo and Snively canning plants, for the Polk County Sheriff's Office as a crossing guard, and was a member of Winter Haven Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, R.V. "Bud" Goodman; and her daughter, Myra Goodman Davis. She is survived by two children, Richard Goodman and Faye Waters; 6 grandchildren, Susan, Ike, Shelley, Jon, Paul, and Teresa; & 9 great grandchildren, Klae, Kaylea, Austin, Taylor, Marissa, Jonathan, Keylee, Jada, and Preston.
Visitation will be held Monday from 6-8pm at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home, Winter Haven. A funeral service will be on Tuesday at 10am at Winter Haven Church of God.
