I am honored to have had Bert  F. ford as my Father. He not only was my Dad but my BEST friend. He and my Mom left this world 4 days apart. They always talked how they wanted to go together. In July they would have celebrated 69 years together. I love you Dad & Mom. I miss you so much,

Hello Sis. Myra and Families... this is a long ago voice from your past ministry in Kansas with Bro. Bert Ford and Bro. Larry Johnson who both profoundly touched my life as a youth! I am Daryl E. Gaddy. I served on Bro. Larry's youth counsel and was from the Pittsburg Church. I have many memories of the Ford family and Bro. Bert. We had many wonderful services in Pittsburg... throughout the State and Campmeeting. I have thought of you all so many times throughout the years. Well those traveling shoes are at rest...Praise God... but I am not so certain about the tambourine. I believe Bro. Ford is strumming one of those even NOW! Greetings from Pittsburg Kansas and the Lighthouse Tabernacle!

Brother Ford was a mighty man of God and I'm truly sorry to hear of his passing. I know my dad met him at the heavenly gate and gave him a good old gospel hug.  Brother Ford was instrumental in helping my dad fulfill his calling to be a preacher.  He gave him his first church in North Minneapolis and was our state overseer.  He truly was an inspiration and hero to our family. I can't think of another man who ever had influence on my father like Bert Ford, he was a father-figure and a mentor. 
     I was just a little girl of maybe 5 or 6 but I loved to listen to Brother Ford preach, sing and play his annointed tamborine.  I would give anything for a recording of Bro Bert Ford's rendition of "Put on Your Travelin' Shoes." My dad also started playing the tamborine as a result of his influence and in those Pentecostal services with that good old gospel music it was not only the best entertainment but genuine spiritual soul satisfaction!
  Bro Ford was gracious enough to come back to Minnesota to preach my dad's funeral and helped us make it a celebration of his life.  He preached "Oh how the mighty have fallen."

My sentiments are the same, what a wonderful and influential person he was.

Brother Ford going home makes us want to go home to our heavenly Father .
This was the most trustful man we ever knew .
He Baptized Rash and I both in the old pond called Sun Set Enn . That was in July 1954 . We still love walking with the Lord.
This man made such a difference in our life .
Staying with us when he came to Indiana  to hold a revival  for Bro . Bob Vance and Bro. Bud Bowling . Heaven is sweeter with him and sister Ford being there . I can hardly wait to go be with them.

My Papa Ford was a father figure to me when my Dad died.  Papa was one of the kindest, God-fearing men I ever knew.  Although he can't come back to us, we can go to him!!!

Heaven is truly sweeter than before my grandfather's passing. There is a huge void in my heart and I will miss him. I've got more to go to Heaven for.

Sympthy and prayers go out to Myra and Elaine and families. I will always remember Brother and Sister Ford.  Love in Christ.

Our sympathy and prayers go out to Bro. Ford's daughters Myra and Elaine and their families. He married Don and me 58 years ago. I've known him since I was twelve. The Jackson family and I will always be grateful for Bro. Ford's kindness when shortly after moving to Indiana, he drove our infant brother to Kentucky to be buried, just one of many things he has done for others. To God be the glory. I am so glad he built the church at 75 W. Main St. in Austin, Indiana because it is there we have been able to go worship for years. He was a man of God that lifted so many souls. He will always be remembered by Zada and Don Sipe and family. I look forward to when we all meet again soon. Love in Christ. I'll Meet You in the Morning.

What a loss,  such a good man,  he was a very important part of my childhood.  Each time I would have the chance to see him I always enjoyed the opportunity.

Uncle Bert was one of the kindest, gentlest men I've ever known. I always appreciated his love and care for our family.

Uncle Bert was a great man. I'll never forget how he tried to fill the void I missed when my grandfather Jenk wasn't able to be there for us.

I listened to Pastor Bert Ford on the radio from 2003-2008 when he hosted the Old Time Gospel Hour on AM radio every Sunday morning at 8:30am.  He was a tremendous inspiration to me and his prayers and sermons were always delivered the way God meant them to be.  I have numerous cassette tapes full of his messages that I continue to listen to today.  He will be greatly missed!  My condolences to the family. I attended the service Sunday and it was a beautiful dedication and tribute to a GREAT man!!   God bless his soul.

Bro . Ford has been such a blessing to our family. We were blessed by the Church of God on 75 W. Main St . in Austin In.My husband Rash helped when they torn the old building's where the church Bro . Ford built still stand's .
God remembers all . He will receive his reward.

I am saddened to hear of Brother Ford's passing. He was a wonderful pastor, and never passed up the opportunity to talk to you about the Lord. He was not just the pastor of our church, he was such a good friend to my mother and father, Garland and Bessie Moore. Rest in peace, Brother Ford. You will be missed.

Uncle Bert will be so missed, I will cherish all the times we spent at he and aunt Pauline's home, and the times in Louisville, his stories fascinated us, I went many times to his revivals in Indiana, he was a great man, he called me almost weekly and helped me through some rough times in my life, heaven gained a precious soul, the last time he called  a few weeks ago he said I'm ready for heaven, and he missed  Pauline and his desire was for them to go together to heaven, we both cried and it was the first and only time I heard him cry and I prayed for him instead of him always praying for me, he said I was his favorite in the the Ritchie family!

God has called in one of his best servants now and he will be missed down here for sure.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief.  May your memories bring you comfort.

Loved this great man of God.  I liked how he preached the word and put the "ball" in the hearer's court.  What we do with the Word of God will be our choice once we hear it.  Heaven is richer and the Earth is poorer when another child of God goes home.  May God strengthen and encourage the family. We can make it!  We'll have to live right to make heaven too.

Praying for all of you as I rejoice with him as he sees Jesus face to face and hears those words, "Well done My son."

May His Holy Spirit be with the family during these trying times.  I remember during the 1950's Preacher Ford was the pastor of the Church of God, I was a very young child, but remember the many sermons that he preached, some lasting well into the night.  Sunday morning services could last until 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. I loved his voice, sometimes he would break out into song during his sermons.  My mother was Fannie Rutherford and her sister was Piccola Sullivan, both have gone on to be with Him.  Again, my prayers go out to Mrs. Ford and the girls.

I remember Brother Ford as a small child,I thought he was a really great man! I am very sorry for the loss I am sure his loved ones will miss him greatly!

I am so sad at the passing of my friend and former Pastor. Brother Ford was there all my growing up years and helped to shape me into the person I am today. My husband was saved under his ministry and he was special to both of us. May God grant you peace as your loved one goes to rest in the arms of Jesus.

I'm very sad to receive the news of the passing of Rev. Bert Ford. I have known Bert all of my life as he was the Pastor of the Austin Church of God for many years when I was an infant and young child. My parents, Rash and Renetta Sebastian, have remained close friends throughout the years. My Dad and Bert were like Brothers. Bert has touched our lives both spiritually and personally. He will be really be missed by all of my family as he was an extension of our family. 

Life will not seem the same without Bert. But as he always taught us, one day we will all be reunited again in Heaven! And that will be a wonderful day! God bless all of Bert's family and also those friends that loved him as much as we did. We pray for a healing for the broken hearts that are surely grieving this loss. Heaven just gained a wonderful addition!

I will never forget Rev. Bert Ford. He can never be replaced! He was a true friend and minister in the Lord. He told me many times when I'm gone you can be your own boss. Well he is gone, and I must say I miss a boss like Bert Ford. I have cried so much today. Prayers for the family. Another Giant has moved on!
