Betty J Peach ,82, Winter Haven, FL, passed away Sunday, July 16th, at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale, FL, with her family by her side. Betty was born in Selma, AL, Aug. 25, 1934, a daughter of David and Mattie Lou (Osbourne) Mott. She married Raymond A. Peach Aug. 14, 1954.
Betty worked at numerous assistant administration jobs during her career. She was a member of Hope Presbyterian Church Winter Haven where she also volunteered in the office and took joy and pride of her job as their proof reader.
Betty enjoyed traveling with her husband after their retirement and getting together with friends and family. Betty’s greatest joys were her grandchildren, Samantha and Daniel, and great grandson, Alexander.
Surviving are her son, Kenneth A Peach (Diane McIntire), Bradenton, FL, grandchildren; Samantha Peach, Daniel Peach (Rachael), and great grandson, Alexander Peach, Searsport, Maine, and brother in laws, Alfred (Evelyn) Peach, Winter Haven, and Charles Peach, Connecticut. Betty had many nieces and nephews, all who held a special place in her heart.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, a daughter, Cynthia L. Peach, three brothers and four sisters; Alton, David, and Morris, Virginia, Ruth, Katie and Christine, and her parents.
Family and friends may gather at Hope Presbyterian Church Winter Haven on Saturday, July 22, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
A beautiful life that came to an end, she died as she lived, everyone’s friend. In our hearts, a memory will always be kept, of one we loved, and will never forget.
