

Carole Collner Marotti, born November 9, 1940, in Oil City, Pennsylvania, died November 20, 2022, surrounded by family. Carole Marotti grew up in St. Petersburg, FL and graduated from high school in 1959 and later attended Brenau Academy and Brenau College, in Gainesville, GA. She also attended Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ.
Carole, a devoted mother, is survived by her twin sister Carolyn Collner Hatch, beloved children, Lew Marotti (Haili), Cara Hewett (Steve) and Mia Holden (Lance) and grandchildren Kaitlin, Audra, John, Kendall, Spencer, Max, Paige, and Maddie. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Lewis (Gene) Marotti, and by her brother, Joseph D. Collner.
From her earliest days, Carole found spiritual joy singing in various choirs throughout the country and abroad. She was known as an exceptional floral designer, avid gardener, and a friend to many people. She considered family and friends as one of the greatest blessings in her life.
Carole spent her summers in Highlands, North Carolina where she enjoyed her many friends, singing in the church choir, and volunteering at Mountain Findings, a community organization.
In the place she called home, Carole attended First Presbyterian Church where she loved singing in the choir and decorating the church. Carole was a volunteer for Meals-On-Wheels and an active member in the Planter’s Garden Club.
A celebration of life will be held on December 16th at 3:00 pm, at First Presbyterian Church in Winter Haven, Florida
Donation in Carole's memory may be made to Meals on Wheels, The Humane Society of Polk County, or to the Music Ministry at First Presbyterian Church in Winter Haven.
