
Born on July 21, 1945 in Terra Alta, West Virginia. Carolyn graduated high school in 1962 as a member of the National Honor Society. She moved here from Buckyrus, Ohio in 1970.
Carolyn worked as a legal secretary at Wheeler and Traviss Law firm for 45 years. During that time she became a member of the certified Professional Secretary Association upon passing the exam in 1986.
Carolyn served on the Advisory Board of the Salvation Army and took meeting minutes for many years.
She was a dedicated member of the Orange Belt USBC Bowling Association. Carolyn served as a Treasurer for 14 years and director for 19 years of the Winter Haven Women’s Bowling Association.
She also served as a long-time director of the Florida State USBC Women’s Bowling Association. Carolyn was inducted into the Winter Haven Women’s Bowling Association Hall of Fame for meritorious service. She was inducted into the Florida State USBC WGA Hall of Fame for meritorious service on May 19, 2017 Carolyn bowled for over 35 years.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph Redman of Winter Haven, daughter; Lori Machtolff of Orlando; son, Craig Redman of Winter Haven; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A ceremony to celebrate Carolyn’s life will be held at Grace Lutheran Church at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018.
