MAY 20, 1945 – MARCH 2, 2024
David Glogowski was born in Rochester, NY, the seventh son of Joseph and Rita Glogowski. Dave attended school in Spencerport, NY until, at age 16 he dropped out to join the Navy. He earned his GED while in the service, where he also received his training as an electrician. As a civilian, Dave worked in Rochester for Eastman Kodak and General Railway Signal. He finished his career at Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation in Kansas, from which he retired in 2005 to move to Swiss Village in Winter Haven, Florida.
Dave married Cheryl Jeroy in 1967. They had three children: Larry, Ken, and Anne and lived for many years in small towns outside Rochester. There, Dave was active in the volunteer fire department and EMS squad.
When the family moved to Kansas for Dave’s job, he was able to focus on his love of Ford cars by restoring a ’66 Mustang and buying a limited edition ’95 Cobra hardtop convertible which he exhibited at area car shows.
Retiring in Florida, Dave continued showing his car at shows, being a Mr. Fix-It for his children’s homes and cars, and enjoying being a part of his grandchildren’s lives.
Dave is survived by his wife, Cheryl; children Lawrence, Kenneth (Melissa), and Anne; grandchildren Reyna, Kaden, and Riley; great grandson, Benjamin; three brothers, two sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews.
