Edwin Blythe Hartman

Edwin Hartman passed away peacefully August 12, 2023 with his wife Christy by his side. Ed had a love for life and people that was expressed through his deep and abiding faith the Lord Jesus Christ. A wonderful husband, Ed and Christy enjoyed 28 years of marriage. Ed had an ability to make everyone laugh through his stories and and his engagingly positive personality. He had the gift to make you feel as if you were an old friend even if you had just met him. Many who were recipients of his prolific letter writing were truly blessed and filled with joy from his thoughtful and personal words. His beautiful handwriting added another quality that brought a smile to the reader and warmth to the heart. Ed had a unique ability to combine his passion for coaching and ministry striving to impact young men and women for the glory of God. Ed, known as “Super Great” to his great grandchildren and “Silly Granddad” to his grandchildren, demonstrated his love and influence for not only his family, but for all young people. His infectious laugh and love for life will be dearly missed. Everyone who was fortunate enough to meet Ed was blessed beyond measure. Simply put, Ed lived life to fullest allowing Jesus to shine through every fabric of his being.
