WINTER HAVEN - Elizabeth Zentz Golden, 90, died of natural causes on Wednesday, November 24 at Winter Haven Hospital.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years, Raymond L. Golden, owner and President of Roberts Bros., Inc., food processors for over 100 years, incorporated in 1898, and her parents V. Leslie and Lillian Zentz.
Elizabeth was born in Baltimore, MD and attended what is now Towson State College. She worked for American Can Company before marrying Raymond. Elizabeth and Raymond moved to Winter Haven in 1957. She worked as an office manager and payroll clerk for Roberts Bros., Inc.
Elizabeth was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Winter Haven, a member of Chapter U, P.E.O. Sisterhood, the Winter Haven Hospital Auxiliary, and a former member of the Lake Region Yacht and Country Club.
Elizabeth is survived by her loving daughters Carol Anne Golden and Janet Bell Golden, and her faithful companion, Jen-ny, all of Winter Haven. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Bob Hines Memorial Scholarship or the Children's Library at First Presbyterian Church of Winter Haven, 637 Sixth Street NW, Winter Haven, FL 33881. A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Winter Haven on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at 3:30 PM with a reception following the service.
