Ellen Virginia Rudd

Ellen was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who lived her life with quiet strength and a heart full of love. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Johnny Rudd, in 2017, her sister Carolyn in 2016, and brother Randall in 1971.

She is survived by her younger sister Jeanette Hoover, her two sons, Andy and Robert, and her cherished grandchildren: Abby, Alayna, Austin, Ty, Darren, Johnathan and Carolynn. Her family was the center of her world, and she never missed an opportunity to spend time with her grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy.

Ellen was a kind and selfless soul who always put others before herself. She was a gentle presence, never one to raise her voice or harbor anger. Her life was a testament to love, compassion, and grace — qualities she shared freely with everyone around her.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

A visitation for Ellen will be held Friday, March 14, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home, 645 West Central Ave, Winter Haven, Florida 33880 followed by a funeral service at 1:30. Ellen will be laid to rest at Eagle Lake Church of Christ Cemetery in Eagle Lake, Florida.
