Esterlee L. Pirkle, age 83, of Winter Haven, FL passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2019, surrounded by family. She was born August 15, 1936 in West Monroe, Louisiana the daughter of Elvin Pitts Pirkle and Mannie Alberta Partin Pirkle.
Ms. Pirkle has said that her fondest childhood memories were when the family got into daddy's old truck and went to Louisiana to grandparents’ home for Christmas. Her earliest ambitions were when at 10 years old, she planned to become a nurse when she grew up. Her proudest career accomplishments were working at Winter Haven Hospital for 25 years as a Nurse Technician, before retiring at age 70.
Her proudest family moments were when she looked into the eyes of each of her newborn babies. Thinking upon past memories often brought a smile to her face. Additional points of interest and memories include flying to Seattle, WA to see her daughter and family.
Her favorite songs are by Hank Williams, "I Saw The Light," " I Want To Stroll Over Heaven With You" by Alan Jackson, and "Go Rest High Upon That Mountain" by Vince Gill.
Hobbies included playing cards, crocheting blankets, music and movies. Other favorite things included green grass, trees, flowers, lakes, mountains and rainbows.

Siblings: Alvin Earl, James Charlie, Velma Inez, Fred Allen, Frances Anita, Ann Elizabeth, Brenda Ellen and Joan Jeanette. Children: Mildred Marie, Terry Lee, Obie David, Joseph Mark, and Ricky Allen. Grandchildren: Thomas Lee Kruse, Shawna Bush, April Christine Weeks, David Earl Weeks, Kenneth Nathan Weeks, Christopher Lee Weeks, Zachary Weeks, Jennifer Weeks, Ryan Weeks & Taylor Shaw and 12 Great Grandchildren.
Memorial Services are Monday, October 21, 2019 at 10am at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home, 645 West Central Avenue, Winter Haven, FL 33880.
