

Eugene proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Navy. Following his military service, he became the owner of Bob Faneuf Insurance Agency, where he built lasting relationships through hard work, integrity, and dedication to helping others.
On July 2, 1951, Eugene married the love of his life, Shirley Ann Faneuf. Together they shared many wonderful years filled with love, faith, and family. Eugene enjoyed traveling, riding motorcycles, volunteering, and faithfully serving the Lord. He was a devoted member of Orange Street Church of Christ.
Eugene is survived by his sons, John Faneuf (Susan) and Matthew Faneuf (Kim); his grandchildren, Delaney Hilliard (Rusty), Carolyn Berry (Kory), Morgan Roberts (Jay), and Kyle Faneuf (Amanda); and his cherished great-grandchildren, Katie Hilliard, Hadley Hilliard, Ally Berry, Cara Berry, Bryn Berry, McKinley Faneuf, Wallace Berry, Aleksandr Faneuf, Joshua Roberts, and Caleb Roberts.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley Ann Faneuf, and his brother, Ray McNeely.
Eugene will be remembered for his steadfast faith, generous spirit, love for his family, and servant’s heart. His legacy of kindness and devotion will continue to live on through all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Florida School of Preaching in Lakeland, Florida.
Visitation will be held at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home, 645 West Central Ave, Winter Haven, FL 33880, US, on May 29, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Funeral Service at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home on May 29, 2026, at 11:00 am.
A Committal Service will take place at Eagle Lake Church of Christ, 261 N 3rd St, Eagle Lake, FL 33839, US, on May 29, 2026.
