Evelyn L. Powell, 81, of Winter Haven, Florida passed away on February 17, 2017. She was born in Winter Haven, Florida on July 20, 1935. She was the owner and operator of an Ice Company. Mrs. Powell was also a member of the Moose Lodge and the Eastern Star.
Mrs. Powell was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Jerry Powell Sr. and her son Calvin Jerry Powell Jr. She is survived by her granddaughter, Megan Powell, of Jasper Florida, and many other that loved her.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2017, from 12-1:30 p.m. at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home in Winter Haven, Florida. A graveside service will be held following the visitation at 2 p.m. at Eagle Lake Church of Christ Cemetery in Eagle Lake, Florida.
