Fern was a classmate of mine at Immanuel School of Nursing. I last visited with her ten years ago at our 50th class reunion. Fern usually returned for class reunions but missed her at our 60th in April of this year. I'm looking forward to seeing her at the best reunion some day!
I'll be thinking of her family tomorrow. May God hold you close through your tears and in your sorrow. May the love of Christ comfort you and bring you peace.

I remember Fern as a no nonsense Christian and nurse. She was a God send when I was looking for a place for my parents to be moved to Assisted living. A compassionate woman, she lived her life as an example of a righteous woman in the eyes of God. You have arrived home. Blessings and prayers to those left behind

I know Fern from many years of sharing at Disciples Women’s Ministries. We would travel to the same meetings and served on the Florida Disciples Women’s Board together. She was a hard worker and very compassionate. I remember many stories of traveling to see patients which would bring on her smile and that throaty laugh. She will be missed but I know she’s getting heaven ready for all of us, her sisters. I pray for you, her family, but she will be waiting to see you with a warm hug. Thank God for your rest now.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Fern through the FDWM board as well. She was absolutely wonderful in her wisdom of being a mom. I have two children and she had great advice as well as stories. She would always listen and had a hug waiting if you needed it or not. Fern will have a special place in my heart.

Fern was a dear friend for many years. She was a source of biblical knowledge for me. The two of us went to The Retreat in Ocala for Disciples Women retreats. We traveled to numerous assemblies & Quadrennials. I will miss my traveling roommate. God has welcomed home a truly blessed servant.
