Winter Haven – Mr. Gerald Lee “Eddie” Ransom, age 71, of Winter Haven, Florida passed away Thursday, September 30, 2010 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center due to Respiratory Failure. He was born December 6, 1938 in Connersville, IN the son of Otis and Martha (Sizemore) Ransom. Eddie was a Brick Mason Sub Contractor. He also worked as an operator for PCA, Packaging Corporation of America. He was a veteran of the National Guard.
Mr. Ransom is survived by his wife, of 46 years, Veda Ann Ransom of Winter Haven, sons Gregory Scott Ransom and his wife Dolly C. Ransom, Winter Haven, and Gary Ladd Ransom, Winter Haven, daughter Dena Lee Ransom Simmons, Winter Haven, grandchildren Brandon, Steven, Jessica, and Justin, and great grandchildren Zach and Allyssa.
Visitation is Monday from 6 till 8 pm at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home, Winter Haven. Funeral Services are Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 11 am at the funeral home chapel. Burial to follow at Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens.
