

Gloria M. Giovelli, age 94, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2025. She was born on January 21, 1931, and lived a long, faith-filled life dedicated to her family, community, and service to others.
Gloria married the love of her life, Joseph Giovelli, on August 8, 1963. They shared many wonderful years together before his passing. She was also preceded in death by her beloved son, Alfred J. Borsello.
A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Gloria is survived by her daughters Denise A. Tolbert, Stacie A. Nelson, and Gloria A. Snively; grandchildren Cindy Dirosee (Brian Dirosee), Brandon Nelson, Angela Tolbert (Sergio Rosa), and Samantha Fairfield (Devin Fairfield); and great-grandchildren Ryan Dirosee, Julia Dirosee, Briana Dirosee, Kai Nelson, Giana Nelson, Ava Rosa, and Alina Rosa.
Gloria was a proud business owner of Sebring Vision Centre and gave generously of her time to countless community causes. A faithful member of St. Matthew’s Church for more than 50 years, she served as a Eucharistic Minister, a member of the bereavement team, and a volunteer in court mediation. She was also active in her sorority chapter, the 912 group, and contributed her time and talents to many parish and community events.
Gloria devoted summers to instructing children in swimming, eventually serving as head of swimming instruction, where she passed on her skills and enthusiasm to generations of young swimmers.
Gloria’s life was one of devotion: to her faith, her family, and her community. She will be remembered for her generosity, her leadership, her kindness, and her unwavering dedication to helping others.
Funeral services will be held on October 7th at 9:00 at St. Matthew’s Church, with interment to follow at Lakeside Memorial Gardens. Friends and family are invited to gather in celebration of Gloria’s life, sharing memories of her remarkable spirit.
