She was predeceased by her father, Gilroy G. Walton, mother, Jackie C. Wheeler, and stepfather, Wayne H. Wheeler. She is survived by her brother, John P. Walton (Debi), half-sister, Ellen W. Casey (Bill), five stepbrothers, and one stepsister. Janet was born in Temple, Texas, but was raised and spent her working career in Winter Haven.
She worked as a district sales representative for a cosmetics company, licensed Cosmetologist and a Financial Specialist for First Union/Wachovia/Wells Fargo. She was forced into early retirement because of health issues and passed due to heart failure.
A Memorial service will be held at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home in Winter Haven on July 27th with a visitation at 10:00 a.m. and service at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow.
