Julian Armour Johnston III

J. Armour Johnston, III, 68, passed away on June 2, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Armour graduated from Winter Haven High School and attended Polk Community College. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard attaining the rank of Sergeant. Armour was a Broker/Salesman with Town & Country Real Estate of Winter Haven, Inc. for over 40 years. He was active in Elks Lodge #1672 and was a past Exalted Ruler. He and his father were the first father/son duo to serve as Exalted Rulers of the Elks Lodge in Winter Haven. He was also a member of American Legion Post 8.

Armour was an avid outdoorsman and a devoted and proud grandfather to Junior.

He was preceded in death by his wife Susan (Wells) Johnston and his father Julian A. Johnston, Jr. He is survived by his daughters Mandy (Bo), and Ashley; his mother Elizabeth Johnston; his sisters Diane Slaybaugh (Bill) and Patricia Chauncey (Rodney); and 3 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home in Winter Haven on Wednesday, June 7th, with visitation at 2:00 p.m. and the service at 3:00 p.m
