Margaret Anne Carson Sippel was born in Listowel, Ontario, Canada, on April 6th, 1943. Her family moved to Winter Haven, Florida in 1955, due to her health condition. She graduated from Winter Haven High School in 1961. She was active in the youth group at Beymer Memorial United Methodist Church, where she met her husband, James E. Sippel, Jr. They were engaged before her 1965 graduation from Asbury University in Wilmore, KY. Married on July 3rd, 1965, they first lived in Key West, Florida, where she began her teaching career, which continued over the next 25 years. When Jim finished his time in the Air Force, they relocated to Winter Haven, Florida where they started a family. Anne taught at Elbert Elementary, Garden Grove Elementary, and Wahneta Elementary. Her final years in teaching were spent working with migrant families. She was an active member of St John’s United Methodist Church, where she was able to participate in missions including a trip to Haiti, the Florida United Methodist Children’s Home, Project Love, and NOMADS. She was a sponsor for the St John’s MOPS group, where she worked with young moms. She was a youth group volunteer and taught various Sunday school classes and bible studies. Anne enjoyed crafts, sewing, and embroidery and taught many eager students quilting and sewing skills. While her declining health did reduce the amount of time she spent in Western North Carolina, where she loved to travel and shop, she kept as busy as she could with her many interests and family visits. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, James E Sippel, Jr., daughter Jennifer Sippel-Tompkins, son David Sippel, brother Bryan Carson, grandchildren Grant and Cade Sippel, Hailey, Anthony, Brittany, and Ryan Tompkins, and great grandson, Anthony James Gentry, nieces Amy Slutz and Carolyn Sippel, and nephew Steve Carson. A memorial service will be held at St. John’s United Methodist Church at 1800 Cypress Gardens Blvd in Winter Haven, Florida, at 2 pm on Wed

Jenny, I don't have any memory of your Mother except in hearing you talk of her. I know she was a wonderful lady because of the way you always spoke of her. You always had a smile on your face ,but you were usually laughing and there were times you were worried about her and your Dad. I know she was a great person because of you Jenny. She will live on in your heart and your spirit. You are and always have been so special to me and I will forever love you. Know you are in my thoughts and prayers. ❤️
