Winter Haven- Mrs. Margie Hicks, age 81, 0f Winter Haven, FL passed away February 4, 2012 due to heart disease. She was born October 27, 1930 in Fort Meade, FL the daughter of Albert Mathis and Foy Jackson Mathis. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, of 61 years, Don R. Hicks, Sr., and son Don R Hicks, Jr. She is survived by her brother: Jack Mathis of Homeland, daughters: Deborah Bryant of Winter Haven, Nancy Kinchen of Wahneta, Doris Ditty of Mayo, and Carol Fisher of Winter Haven, 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild on the way.
Visitation is Monday from 6-8 pm at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home, Winter Haven with funeral services Tuesday at 10 am at the funeral home chapel.
