Marian M. Walker, 85, passed away in Winter Haven on January 23, 2014 due to Alzheimer’s. She moved to Bartow around 1946 from Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada. She was a member of 1st Baptist Eagle Lake, The Garden Club of Eagle Lake, and crocheted afghans for the Winter Haven Hospital.
She is survived by her children, Joy Walker, June Hoy (David), and Jimmy Walker (Kathy), a brother, Graham Thorpe, three grandchildren, Pamela, Tammy, and Kimberly, and four great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 27th from 10-11, with a service following at 11. Both will be held at 1st Baptist Church in Eagle Lake, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the 1st Baptist Church of Eagle Lake Building Fund.
