He traveled to over 70 countries during his career and kept his love for traveling afterwards by going on as many cruises as he could. He had a great love and passion for the game of golf, he even worked part time at a course after retiring to Florida and played as much as he possibly could. He was a very loving generous man who was very proud to have served his country in the Navy. He was very proud and loved all of his family and friends just as much as we all loved him. He will be greatly missed by all of us and will forever be in our hearts.

Peggy,
Words are not enough to express how sad we are for you. Mike was a wonderful husband and a great man. You will keep him close to your heart with all the great memories.
You and Tony gave him the best care for the last couple of years, that he was so grateful for because it was done through all the love you had for him.
He now rests with the Lord in peace.
Love Denise and Jim

David and I cannot express what you meant to us, Mike! Years ago you willingly and graciously accepted us into your home for our vacations. You taught us to love FL and all it has to offer. You were thrilled when we bought our piece of Paradise and anxiously awaited our every visit. We were able to spend quality time with you, Peggy and Tony over the past 10 years and for that we are forever grateful. Thank you for showing us what dignity, inspiration and resilience really means. We love you and are blessed that you are finally at peace. Save a "piece of pie" for us!!

Dear Mike, you suffered physically, mentally, and emotionally in ways that most of us were never even aware of yet maintained such dignity and strength. In the years you lived in FL, and specifically in the most recent last years of your life, we were only fortunate enough to see you once or twice annually, but you were always smiling, laughing, cracking jokes, driving here and there, eating “gut busters” from The Hot Dog Shop, dining at all your favorite local seafood restaurants with your family, and always putting on a happy face for mom and the rest of us. We honor your courage and resilience. I will miss you terribly!! Thank you, Peggy and Tony, for your devoted care and compassion for my brother. God will reward and bless you. Rest In Peace, Mike. I love you!!
