Oscar C. Schmid Jr., 90, of Winter Haven, passed away at his home on December 26, 2014 due to natural causes. He moved to this area from Sandusky, Ohio 36 years ago. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from the restaurant industry. He was also a member of the American Legion.
Mr. Schmid is survived by his wife, Dolores, children, Laura Schmid, Larry (Debra) Schmid, David (Martha) Schmid, and Mary Beth (Jeff) Ulmer, grandchildren, Keely (David), Logan (Amanda), Eric (Emily), Tyler (Sierra), Bethany (Brandon), German, Dustin, and Chris, great grandchildren, Karly, Landon, Rowen, Annaleigh, Logan, Eric, and Ethan, a sister Mary Branam, of Sandusky, Ohio, and many nieces and nephews.
