

Pat was a devoted Christian whose life reflected her selfless and compassionate spirit. She was a faithful member of Westwood Baptist Church and found great joy in serving others, spending time with her loved ones, and living out her faith each day.
Pat was married to the love of her life for 35 years. Together they built a life centered on family, faith, and love. She dedicated many years to caring for children through her work in daycare, where her nurturing heart touched the lives of countless families.
In her free time, Pat enjoyed making cards, attending church activities, and crocheting blankets for family and friends. These handmade gifts were a reflection of the warmth, generosity, and love she shared with those around her.
She is survived by her beloved husband David Quimby; her son, Brian Carruth (Chrystyn) of Winter Haven, Florida; and her daughter, Pamela Ireton of Winter Haven, Florida. She is also survived by her siblings, Carol Smith of Boaz, Alabama; Bill Hughes (Donna) of Huntsville, Alabama; Debbie Dietz (Orville) of Winter Haven, Florida; Don Carter (Pam) of Winter Haven, Florida; Linda Cochran of Winter Haven, Florida, and Mike Carter of Winter Haven, Florida. Pat was a proud grandmother to six grandchildren and a cherished great-grandmother to six great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her greatly.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents Gene and Elizabeth Carter, her father-in-law, Norman H. Quimby, her mother-in-law, Catherine Mary Quimby.
Pat will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, faithful friend, and servant of God. Her gentle nature, unwavering faith, and compassionate heart left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
Visitation will be held at Westwood Missionary Baptist, 3210 Avenue G NW #1, Winter Haven, FL 33880, on June 13, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 am.
