Phil Manseau
December 1, 1944 ~ August 29, 2025
WESTMINSTER – Philip Frederick Manseau, age 80, of Westminster (more recently Lake Wales, Florida) passed away peacefully on August 29, 2025 surrounded by family.
Phil was born on December 1, 1944 in Ludlow, MA to Frederick & Evelyn Manseau of Westminster, MA and he was a long-time resident of Westminster. He was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and thankful for the opportunity to serve our country. He retired after 30+ years working for the U.S. Postal Service. Phil was a lifelong car enthusiast and proud member of North County Street Rods. Always ready with a smile, a helping hand, and a story to tell, Phil had a big heart, a great sense of humor and a contagious laugh. He never met a stranger.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Manseau; his children, Christine Mele of Ashburnham, Eric Manseau and his wife Stacey of Lunenburg, Rebecca Elliott and her husband Bill of Holden, and Melissa LaBounty and her husband Tim of Whitinsville; grandchildren, Zuriah, Athena & Matthias Mele; Tyler, Dylan & Whitney Mansfield, and Felicity & Kendall Elliott; great-grandchildren, Levi, Autumn & Brynn Mansfield; and several nieces and nephews.
Phil was a talented artist – his pin-striping, flames, and other custom detailing can still be seen on some of the old street rods tooling around town. He loved the Lord and claimed Jesus Christ as Savior. He enjoyed many years at Redemption Rock Church, helping with set design for performances and celebrations and was always happy to contribute in any way he could.
Most recently, he and Linda enjoyed their retirement years traveling and spending time with family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
Friends and family are invited to a brief military ceremony at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA beginning promptly at 1 p.m. on Friday, November 14th.
Following the military service, there will be a Celebration of Life from 2 - 5 p.m. at Redemption Rock Church, 3 Hager Park Road, Westminster, MA. Please join us for one or both events.
