We went to the Baruch School in New York and we were born very close in January 1943 in Cuba. He was a very good friend and I went to live in Miami Florida. Raoul rest  in peace we went different routes and I just found out about you. Again Rest in Peace.
 

Someone that love me for me just as I am. He showed me that everyone  has the right to be any where any place they want to be. But most of all I got to know him what a great dad, grandfather,friend,and a man he was.I will miss him more than words can say.He will always be in my heart  Always & Forever XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOX

Happiness is....joining others in remembering and celebrating the life of my dad, Raoul Lazaro Rossie, who influenced, loved, befriended and touched the lives of so many like no other person could; and who brought happiness and support each of every day of my life. 

Sadness is....knowing this world will never again be graced with another man like my father. 

Dad, you will always be an everlasting presence in my life, as my guardian angel watching over me in heaven, as you did so well in life.

Angela, Patricia, and all the Rossie family, my deepest condolences. I wish you peace and comfort at this sad time. I have many fond memories of your family from our Nativity days, the Novemberfest and Knights of Columbus socials. Try to remember all the good times. Peace be with you.

Raoul, my friend and brother-in-law. You were one of the most intelligent people I've ever known. He always had good advice, always very quick witted and just really fun to be around. I thank God for allowing giving me the honor of having such a person in my life, although it was only for such a small time (12 years). He made my sister Dorothy so happy and he was one of those people that you were glad to call your friend. So many meomories, not enough space. Raoul, I know you are in Heaven, and since I didn't say it to you here on earth, THANK YOU FOR ALL THE THINGS THAT YOU DONE FOR ME AND CAMILLA, they will never be forgotten. You were one of the most giving, caring and understanding person I  have ever met. Thank you my friend and I will miss you a lot, but also be looking forward to seeing you again in Heaven. Dearest Uncle, I remember your cool sports car and how you'd drive us youngins around. You were such fun and a wonderful family man You moved away, but we always missed you.  Rest in peace.

Raoul you meant the world to me and I was so lucky to have had you in my life. You were a God sent angel to my aunt who misses you dearly everyday and her life will never be the same without you in it but don't worry her family will be her strength on her weak day and I thank you for always being there for her and our family. I love and miss you so much and I thank God for giving our family the gift of the time we had with you. I love you more than words can ever say.

Mr Rossie was more than an uncle to me he was like a father figure. Always there to help me out give me guidence I could go on and on but there's not enough space but most important id leave w a laugh. They say everything happens for a reason but I'm dumb founded on this. I guess like Dot says u don't ask why. I feel like I never got to say these things to u I have so many things I still want to say but I guess we will in time when I'm called to heaven. Until then know ull b forever missed.

Uncle Raoul, dear uncle... the one who never tired of picking us up and letting us touch the ceiling or swinging us around, turning us upside down when we were little.  When we grew too big for all that, he was the one who listened to us and talked to us like we were big.

I knew Raoul for over 40 years. For many years when he had a machine shop over in Bartow, I spent a lot of time working for him as time allowed. We used to meet in Plant City at New Years for dinner, drinks and dancing. He was a big bear of a man, but as gentle as a lamb. I remember when he told me how his family flew to Mexico from Cuba on a vacation, and then got into the U.S. with only their suitcases and the clothes on their backs. That was back at beginning of the Castro regime. I had a special affection for Raoul, but we lost track about ten years ago. He called me about six months ago and told me of his illness...he wanted me to contact the Knights of Columbus and be put on the disabled list, so he would no longer have to pay dues, but remain a member. I was the one who recruited him into the K of C and he was extremely proud of being a member. God rest you, Raoul and welcome you home to heaven...Richard Hardesty, and wife, Rita
