Robert Franklin Lambert, 80, of Winter Haven, Florida passed away on September 9, 2021 in Bartow, Florida. He was born on December 16, 1940 in Holly Pond, Alabama to the late Glovis “GV” Lambert and Emma Chambers Lambert.
Robert moved to Polk County, Florida in the 1950’s. He worked in the Chemical Phosphate Mines for the Mosaic Company as a Maintenance Mechanic as well as a First Responder until he retired in 2007. In his spare time Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors, but most of all he enjoyed being with his family. He attended Central Baptist Church in Winter Haven and was an active Union member as well as a member of the NRA.
To know Robert was to know what genuine truly meant. He was hardnosed, big hearted and as straight a shooter as they come. He loved his family and adored his grandchildren. The World lost a one of a kind man who will be missed dearly. Robert leaves behind his wife of over 60 years Janice Lambert, his daughter Shawn Dunnahoe and husband Greg, son Shane Lambert and wife Teresa and his grandchildren Stuart Ajac, Coby Lambert and Emma Lambert along with his sisters Linda Fowler (Ray) and Mary Frances “Tiny” Brown. He is predeceased by his parents Glovis and Emma Lambert as well as his brothers Curtis Lambert and James Lambert.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at Central Baptist Church in Winter Haven on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 11:00am.
