Ronald A. Phillips, age 76, was called home by our Heavenly Father on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026—a day that held deep meaning to his life and ministry. He was a devoted shepherd, pastor, and faithful servant who spent his life sharing the message of hope, grace, and resurrection.
Born on December 11, 1949, Ron was known for his unwavering faith, kind heart, and compassion for others, living out the teachings he so passionately shared. The anointing on his life and ministry, as he walked with God and lived in His word, reflected the power of redemption.
Ron served his country as a veteran of the United States Army, holding the rank of sergeant and serving as a Russian linguist, including time at the Pentagon. He later worked as a database engineer for Wyndham Worldwide. Above all, he was a pastor who deeply loved his congregation and faithfully served his community through Revelation Ministry.
He was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. He is survived by his wife, Sue Ellen Phillips; daughter, Suzanne Phillips; son, Aaron Phillips; and sister, Sherri Honchar, who will remember him for his wisdom, warmth, and enduring love.
Oh, what joy fills our hearts in knowing this is not goodbye, but only a brief parting—for we will see Ron again. The same faith he lived and the same Savior he preached now welcomed him home.
Though he is deeply missed, there is a blessed assurance that he is in the presence of the Lord—whole, at peace, and rejoicing. One glorious day, we will reunite, and the love he so freely gave will be felt once more. Until that day, his life, legacy, and love will continue to shine in all who knew him.
The Celebration of Life service will be held May 2, 2026, at 1 p.m. at The Redeemer Church, located at 1410 Dundee Road, Winter Haven, Florida 33884.
