Ronald Albert Yeager

He was born December 28, 1934 in Delray (Detroit), Wayne County, Michigan, son of Thomas and Mary (Hegedus) Yeager and raised in Melvindale, Wayne County, Michigan.

He married Rita A. Mulholland on July 7, 1993 in Saline, MI. He and Rita moved to Haines City from Michigan in March 2000.

Ronald graduated from Melvindale Public Schools and several electronics schools.

He served his country for four years in the United States Air Force, Strategic Air Command, during the Korean War Era.

He was an industrial electrician for Ford Motor Company, Michigan Truck Plant in Wayne, MI for over 33 years. He retired 01/01/2000. During his employment, he was elected as Skilled Trades Chairman at the Michigan Truck Plant, Local 900, and served a 3-year term.

In his retirement, his favorite pastimes were golf, working in his yard and playing games on his computer and iPhone. He was very mechanically inclined, a handyman and could fix almost anything. He also enjoyed going to concerts and theme parks.

Ronald is survived by his wife Rita, sister Barbara J. Yeager of Dearborn, MI; and brother Richard (Carolyn) Yeager of Taylor, MI. Also, son Ronald J. Yeager; grandsons Shawn Yeager and Chad Yeager; great-grandsons Jamez Yeager, Jonathon Yeager, Chad Yeager, Jr., and Miles Yeager; great-granddaughters Victoria Yeager and Olivia Yeager; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, daughter Debra Yeager, daughter Peggy Yeager, and brothers Edward Yeager and Lawrence Yeager.

Cremation has taken place. His cremains will be laid to rest at Washtenong Memorial Park in Ann Arbor, Washtenaw, Michigan.
