Salvatore Mogavero

Salvatore Mogavero, 102, of Winter Haven, FL, passed away on March 1, 2016. He was born on December 10, 1913 in Palermo, Sicily. Mr. Mogavero came to this area 25 years ago from New York City. He had worked as patternmaker and grader and was also a Radio Operator in the Merchant Marines.

Mr. Mogavero was preceded in death by his wife, Vincenza Mogavero. He is survived by: his son Vincent Mogavero of New York, NY, daughter, Janet (Thomas) Denninger of Winter Haven, FL, grandson, Steven (Susan) Denninger of The Netherlands, grandson, Michael (Angie) Denninger of Winter Garden, FL, great grandchildren; Dominic, Lydia, and Eliza Denninger of Winter Garden, FL, granddaughter, Sharon Denninger and Daniel Schmeisser of Riverview, FL, , brother, Mathew Mogavero, numerous nieces and nephews, and many, many friends.

A visitation will be held at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Winter Haven, FL on Saturday, March 5th, from 10:30-11:30. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30.
