Lake Alfred - Shirley Ann Taylor-Smith, age 65, of Lake Alfred, FL passed away Monday, October 22, 2012 due to heart failure. She was born January 17, 1947 in Albany, GA the daughter of the late Emeory Lowe and Gladys Isler Lowe. She was a accountant in the hotel industry, a member of the Eastern Star and of the First Baptist Church of Lake Alfred.
Shirley was known as "Mema" to her family.
Mema is survived by her husband of 12 years, Peter Smith, son: Scott Taylor, wife Alison and children Kris and Nick, daughter: Tammy Taylor and children Cariann and Jocelyn, great grandchildren Darries, Jaida, and Sophia, daughter: Vienus Claxton and children Brayden and Zayne, and brother: Aaron Lowe.
Visitation is Thursday, from 10-11am October 25, 2012 at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home at Glen Abbey, Auburndale, FL. With funeral services following at 11am at the funeral home chapel.. Burial will be at Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens.
