

Shirley was married to Jerome F. Williams on November 13, 1948, and together they built a loving family. She graduated from Winter Haven High School and was honored as a Polk County Pioneer. A devoted homemaker, she dedicated her time to raising her children and serving her community.
Active in Calvary Baptist Church, Shirley was known for her deep faith and dedication to church activities. She was a proud volunteer at the Winter Haven Museum and Friends of the Library, always eager to share her love of history and books. She remained closely connected to her Winter Haven High School Class of 1948 and found joy in hobbies such as sewing and tennis. An avid Scrabble and crossword enthusiast, she was rarely seen without a puzzle in hand.
Shirley was affectionately known as "Mom Shirley" to generations of young people whose lives she touched. She was devoted to her children and grandchildren, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth.
She is survived by her children: Karen W. Dalton (Gary) and Stephen W. Williams; grandchildren: Thomas David Dalton, Emily Joyce Dalton, Chelsee Williams, and Brandon Williams; and extended family: Elizabeth (Jesus) Perez, Brandi Holper, Josh Holper, and Daniel, Jacob, and Mia.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerome Williams, and her sons Bruce J. Williams and David A. Williams.
Shirley’s kindness, wisdom, and unwavering faith will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
