WINTER HAVEN - Mr. Thomas Raymond Gunter age 90, died Thursday, August 5, 2010 of natural causes.
He was born in Palatka, Florida on November 22, 1919 to the late James Penn and Agnes Marie Gunter. He was an auto parts salesman. After retirement he was known as the blind wood craftsman. He made many wonderful wood crafts which he displayed and sold at craft fairs and art shops in Burnsville, NC. He also made donations to various schools. He was a member of Parkland Baptist Church and a US Navy veteran serving during WWII on the USS Brown.
Mr. Gunter was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Lucille Gunter (2008). He is survived by his daughter Sandra (Paul) Burke of Winter Haven, grandchildren Sean (Christine) Paul and Erin (David) Emry of Winter Haven and four great grandsons.
Graveside services are Sunday at 2:00 pm at Lakeside Memorial Park. A celebration of life service will follow at 3:00 pm at the Parkland Baptist Church.
