Violet “Vi” Lois Howard, age 88, of Winter Haven, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2026. She was born on December 23, 1937, in Paulding County, Ohio, to the late Elsworth and Coletta (Burkmire) Ankney.
Vi was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clifton “Kip” Howard; her parents; and her siblings, Freda, Forest, Virginia, James, Maxine, and Maynard.
She is survived by her three children, Carol Hardy Crisp, Cheryl Motley and her significant other, John, and Scott (BJ) Hardy; ten grandchildren, many great grandchildren and one great, great grandson.
Vi found great joy in caring for her many plants and flowers. She also enjoyed painting and crocheting throughout her life. She will be remembered for the love she shared with her family and the many special memories she created with those who knew her.
Burial will take place at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
