Winter Haven – Mrs. Virginia Tate Kane, age 88, of Winter Haven, FL died on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Winter Haven Hospital due to kidney failure. She was born on January 9, 1922 in Carlisle, PA to the late Bruce and Mary Elizabeth (Brandt) Dougherty.
Mrs. Kane is survived by her husband, of 23 years, William P. “Bill” Kane, brothers Martin Tate (Marcie) of Yorktown, VA and Bruce Dougherty of TX, sisters Sally Toney (Roy) of Ocala and Norma Lee Smith (Gordon) of Lake Worth.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to William Kane to help with funeral arrangements.
