

Born in Richmond, Virginia he was the son of Samuel B. Nelson and Maude Kelly. He attended the University of Richmond and graduated with high honors. He was employed by Automatic Machinery (Brown International) and worked as a Vice President.
He was a member of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church for over 58 years. He served the Lord in many capacities including serving of the vestry as treasurer, senior warden and junior warden. He taught Sunday school, was a lay reader, chalice bearer, assisted the Altar Guild and sang in the choir. Bo loved sports of any kind, especially playing and watching golf. He will be remembered for his compassion and acceptance of others, gentle spirit, sense of humor and unending love for his family, especially his two daughters.
He is survived by his two daughters Stacy and Tracy of Winter Haven, Florida, sister Virginia “Ginna” Turner of Richmond, Virginia and numerous nieces and nephews, and his two fur babies Lexi and Toby.
The viewing will be held on Friday, October 16, 2020 at Ott Laughlin Funeral Home in Winter Haven, Florida from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Auburndale, Florida at 2:00 pm with internment at Glenn Abbey Memorial Gardens in Auburndale, Florida following the service.
