William G. Pimental

William G. Pimental, 71, passed away October 5, 2013 due to heart failure. He was born October 22, 1941 and lived in Newport, Rhode Island. He attended the University of Rhode Island where he was a member of Sigma Pi fraternity and R.O.T.C. After graduating in 1966, he married his college sweetheart and moved to Winter Haven, Florida. He worked as an inspector and a marketing specialist for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, retiring after 42 years. Bill was involved with the Winter Haven Lakes Advisory Committee and the Keep Winter Haven Clean and Beautiful organization.

He was preceded in death by his son, Michael William Pimental and his brother, Philip James Pimental. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Loraine; daughters Valerie Pimental and Sandy (Shane) Robbins; one grandson; sister Marie Patton, of Lake Wales; and aunt Gilda Gaipo, of Waltham, Massachusetts.

A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday October 12, 2013 at the Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home in Winter Haven, Florida.
