Willie James Griffin

Willie James Griffin was born in Warrenton, GA on August 20, 1935 to the late Moes Griffin and Ida Shocklin. He was preceded in death by two of his siblings, Charlie Brooks and Mattie Ruth Griffin both of Atlanta, GA.

Willie was educated in the Warren County school system. He went on to become a soldier in the U. S. Army. During which time he traveled the world. After his enlistment he settled in New York City, New York. He was employed by TWA Airlines where he worked until his retirement.

After his retirement Willie moved to Winter Haven, FL. While in Winter Haven Willie became a member of Hill Top Church of Christ, where he served as an Usher. There he met Delores Smith. Willie and Delores were united in holy matrimony on May 25, 2013.

Willie was a free spirit that Loved his family and friends. He was known for his love of Music, wherever you saw him he was humming a tune or there was some type of music being played.

Willie leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted Wife, Mrs. Delores Griffin, his Son, Darrin Griffin of Atlanta GA, his daughter Nicole of Cincinnati, OH his dear sister Mrs. Gladys Frazier of Atlanta, GA and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
