Wilma Hatton Kelley was born March 7, 1928 to Lillian Daniel and Leonard Hatton of Lake Alfred and died January 10, 2014 in Covington, La. She was preceded in death by her husband Ras Junior Kelley, her sisters Emma Hatton Maloy, Evelyn Verstynen, and brother Calvin Hatton. She is survived by three nieces and one nephew and numerous great nieces and nephews. Wilma is known for her love of children, often hosting “Pepsi Party’s” for the neighborhood kids. She volunteered in her church teaching Sunday School and singing in the choir. Wilma was a talented cake decorator, painter, and bookkeeper. She is best known for her unwavering desire to help others. Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 18, 2014 at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home at Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens, 2200 K-Ville Avenue in Auburndale beginning with visitation at 10:00 AM, a service at 11:00 and reception immediately following. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to your local SPCA or Meals on Wheels of Winter Haven.
