Anita (mom),
Not a day goes by that I don't think of you. I think about all of the love you had for your family and friends. When I started dating Erik, you greeted me with open arms. There isn't anything in this world that I wouldn't give to have you back with us. I will miss you every day of the rest of my life! You are such an inspiration to so many people. You fought such a courageous battle and you never gave up. You were such a beautiful woman. Words can't even begin to express how much I miss you. I love you so much Mom!

I met Anita on my first day at Fairwinds (Navy Orlando then). From that moment on, we became close friends. She was the most gentle and kind-hearted person I have ever had the honor to know. Her faith was constant and her love for Jesus brought us even closer. My prayers are with her family, and my comfort is in knowing that we will see each other in Heaven! I love you, Anita!

"Aunt Anita" and I shared many hours talking on the phone over the past few years. It was very uplifting when she shared all of the memories about when she & Uncle Bill and my parents were all young newlyweds in Texas. And Aunt Anita was always there to offer support while my Dad wasn't doing so well. Such a soft-spoken woman, but knew how to be firm in her convictions. My heart breaks that she is gone from this earth, but I rejoice knowing that she is reunited in Heaven with Uncle Bill.
