Antonio Orta, affectionately known as Tony, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at the age of 73. He was born on October 2, 1952, in Manhattan, New York, where he grew up in Chicago, Illinois, excelling in high school baseball and basketball.
He graduated from Tuley High School in Chicago, Illinois.
He worked as a security officer for over 30 years, finding genuine joy in helping the public.
He remained an avid sports fan throughout his life, carrying with him the same competitive spirit and dedication he showed as a standout athlete in his youth.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Encarnacion, and his son, Pedro Orta.
He is survived by his three daughters, Yvonne, Jenelba, and Jessica, along with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Tony will be remembered for his warmth, his competitive spirit, and his unwavering dedication to serving and helping those around him.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
