She was born on November 23, 1935 in White House, TN to Walter and Exie Whiting. She was a widow of Jon Franklin Moore, and was predeceased by her brothers Paul Whiting, Sr., Gene Whiting, and Bill Whiting.
She was the mother of Brad Stockwell, Bloomington, IN, Barry Stockwell, Casselberry, FL, Jonelle Taylor, Oviedo, FL, Cindy Faulk, Beech Grove, IN.
She was grandmother to seven children and great-grandmother to seven children.
She grew up in Lewisville, IN on a farm and learned to love raising pigs and was also fond of Boston Terriers. She lived in the central Florida area for 35 years before returning to Indianapolis, IN after marrying her high school sweetheart. After being away from her kids and grandkids too long, she returned to Winter Springs, FL.
Her career life consisted of selling Sarah Coventry, Hoover, and other appliances. She also worked as an administration secretary for several companies, but spent her last career years passionately caring for children at First United Methodist Church of Winter Park and for many families of the church.
When not working, she loved spending time with her kids and their friends and especially her grandchildren. She resided with her son, Barry, in Casselberry for many years and continued to love visiting her favorite restaurant, Victorio’s, and her daughter, Jonelle, at her home where she passed peacefully.
