

Bill was born in Max, Nebraska. After graduating high school, he joined the Navy at age 17 and was an electronics technician. Upon honorable discharge, Bill went to work for Raytheon as a technical writer. He further worked for NASA and General Dynamics. He was by then an accomplished electronics designer and began his own company called Microfirm, Inc.
Bill was proceeded in death by his first wife, Yvonne, who passed away in 2000. He is survived by his current wife Mary “Liz”, son Steve and his wife Lisa, daughter Valerie Long and her husband Lynn, step daughter Erica Hicks and her husband Charles. He also leaves behind 11 grand children and 15 great grand children who adored him dearly. Bill is survived by his brother Kenneth and his wife Marlene along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
Bill enjoyed traveling, fishing, wood working, and most of all, time spent with his family.
The service is scheduled for Monday, October 27, 2025 at 10:00 am at the 1st Baptist Church of Orlando, 3000 S. John Young Parkway. Service will be held in the Marie Williams Chapel followed by a reception. Burial following the service at Glen Haven Memorial Park, 2300 Temple Drive, Winter Park, FL.
