Cecilia M. Demetree

Cecilia Mary Demetree, 71 of Winter Park, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010. Born in Greensboro, N.C. on Aug 21, 1939, she was a lifelong resident of the Orlando area. She graduated from Bishop Moore High School in 1957 and Rollins College in 1961. Cecilia is survived by her daughters Deborah McEachron (Scott), Leslie Richardson (Lonnie), and son Mark Joseph Kledzik (Bates Reed), grandchildren Katie, Sam, Rachel and Mara, sister Frances Demetree-Dasher and brothers John Demetree and Paul Demetree.

Cecilia devoted her life to teaching both professionally and personally. She had a gift for opening her heart and home to anyone in need and used her life as an opportunity to teach others about strength, courage and acceptance. Cecilia was kind, elegant, intelligent, and had a wonderful sense of humor. She loved her family and friends deeply and was surrounded by them in her last days as she passed peacefully.

Visitation will be held at Carey Hand Cox Parker Funeral Home, 1350 W. Fairbanks Ave., Winter Park, Fl., Sunday, October 31 from 1:00 - 3:00pm. The funeral will be held at St. Margaret Mary Monday, November 1st at 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers please make donations to The Russell Home for Atypical Children.
