Charles Robert DeSanto, 81, of Winter Park, FL. passed away July 18, 2019 in Orlando, FL. after a long illness. He was born August 28, 1937 in Albany, NY. Charles is preceded in death by his parents Dominick DeSanto and Etta Trump.
Charles was retired from the Air Force as a Master Sergeant, assigned to the Air Defense Command and served over 20 years. While in the Military, he served in the Vietnam War and many other remote assignments to different countries. After the Military, he went to work for the U.S. Post Office and later retired from there after 16 years.
Charles enjoyed umpiring little league baseball games, and refereeing high school football games and basketball games, he loved going to UCF football games, and was an avid bowler and was on a several leagues.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Celine Malo DeSanto; son, Mike and daughter, Melanie; brother, Dominick DeSanto and sister-in-law; his twin sister, Barbara Fredericks and brother-in-law; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial service will be on Saturday, August 3rd at 10 AM. at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church on Old Howell Branch Rd. in Winter Park. Inurnment will follow at 1 PM. at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Rd., Gotha, FL. with Military Honors.
