

He enlisted in the United States Air Force January 11, 1951 and took a leave of absence 10 days later to come home and marry the love of his life, Kathrine Jeannine Hardenbrook, on January 21, 1951. They celebrated 69 years of everlasting love.
They had two daughters Cynthia Rae Ellsworth Freeman (deceased) and Sandra Jo Ellsworth O’Steen Watts. While moving around the country; Alaska, California, Florida, Washington State and Montana. He was also stationed in Iceland, Japan, Thailand and was active in the Korean-Vietnam War. He was part of the Red Horse Squadron.
When stationed around in the different states to serve our country, he would coach Junior Olympic Swimmers and was a Semi-Professional Bowler. He had a love for the outdoors; hunting, fishing, boating, waterskiing and golf. He was the 2492 Brookshire Avenue Hero.
He served the United States of America for 20 years and 20 days, he retired in Winter Park, FL 1971. As a civilian he worked for Orange County as an Electrical Inspector and retired from the county with 20 years as well.
After retirement he loved traveling with his family and friends. He took many trips and cruises to Hawaii, Alaska and also around Europe. He enjoyed taking his family snow skiing and relaxing many weeks at Orange Lake Country Club.
He was the Mr. Fix It and the man of all trades. He will be missed by everyone on earth, it is comforting to know he has been welcomed to heaven with open arms by those who have left before him.
He was preceded in death by his Sister: Norma Jean Ellsworth (Knipper) and two half Brothers: William Gordon Ellsworth & Eugene Ellsworth.
Charles was also survived by 4 grandchildren, Melanie O’Steen “Webb”, Shannon O’Steen “Belch”, Matthew Freeman, Justina Freeman and 7 great grandchildren; Rody & Riley Webb, Aidon & Avylon Belch, Skylar, Ava and Scarlett Freeman.
