

WINTER PARK, FL- Chester W. Wendrzyk 82 of Winter Park/Melbourne died Saturday morning (March 23, 2013) at his home. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, March 28th, at Carey Hand Cox-Parker Funeral Home, 1350 W. Fairbanks Avenue, Winter Park. Burial with full military rites conducted by the U.S.A.F. Honor Guard and members of American Legion Post # 163 will be held at 10:00 AM Friday at Palm Cemetery, Winter Park. Mr. Wendrzyk was born May 13, 1930, the son of Vincent A. and Mary (Kozak) Vendrzyk. Chester was a veteran of the US Air Force, receiving the Bronze Star medal. He retired from the US Air Force in December 1973. Chester was the owner and operator of Sand Dollar Party Sales with his wife, Bobbie, in Melbourne, FL, retiring in 1999. He was a life-time member of both American Legion Post # 163 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 8191.
He is survived by his wife, Bobbie; two daughters, Barbara (Darlene) Bledsoe and Patricia (Collene) Greer; two sons, Chester and Vincent (Tony); 6 grandchildren, Blane Greer Jr., Laura Bentley, Brandy Ann Roberts, Clint Bledsoe, Brett Wendrzyk, and Paige Wendrzyk; 3 great grandchildren; three sisters, Wanda Thomas, Michigan, Clara Edwards, Florida and Barbara Wallace, New Jersey.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Elsie Vendrzyk, Magdeline Zajdel, Helen Beres and Valaria Manturuk; and four brothers, Rudolph, Edward, Anthony, and Vincent Vendrzyk.
