He was born in Mineral Springs, Arkansas, January 31,1935 to William T. Tinkes and Ella Viola Banston.
As a young man Curtis joined the United Sates Air Force. And on his first Tour of Duty to France is where he met the love of his life, Marie-José Massardier, whom he married. Together they had four children, Phillip A. Tinkes, Roland P. Tinkes, Patricia A. Tinkes-Carmona, and Dolores A. Tinkes.
He is survived by their four children and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held on July 14, 2024 at Baldwin-Fairchild Goldenrod/Winter Park Funeral Home at 10:00 AM.
Funeral Services will be the dispersing of ashes at sea aboard the Orlando Princess on July 14, 2024, departing from 670 Glen Cheek Drive, Cape Canaveral FL 32920. Boarding will be at 5:15 PM departing at 6:00 PM.
