Darrell James Strube

Darrell was married 25 years to Debbie Strube. He is the son of Carol Woodson and the late Fred Merle Strube, Sr., who passed in November 2019.

Darrell was well-known for his amazing talents in the automotive industry and the racing community throughout Illinois and Central Florida. He loved to work on cars throughout his lifetime. He specialized in mechanical and later transitioned to auto upholstery.

Darrell was the funniest, hardest working man one could ever know. He would do anything for anyone and always took great pride in all his work. Darrell was a wonderful dad and great husband.

Darrell, … you will be missed by many, but never forgotten. You were a great teacher. The lessons that you have taught us and your jokes will be forever etched in our minds. You have made an impact on more people than you can ever imagine. Go Bears!

Darrell leaves behind his wife, Debbie Strube; daughters, Dana Strube and Kristin Strube; mom, Carol Woodson; brother, Fred Merle Strube, Jr. “Butch” (Lisa); sisters, Karen Getz (Mike), Stephanie Strube and Tara McKenna (Larry); Uncle Chuck Strube; Mother-in-law, Cindy Strube and many more extended family members.

Darrell will be placed in his final resting place with a private family service at a later date. Arrangement entrusted to Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home, Golden Rod Chapel located in Winter Park, Florida.
