

David Jay Currier, 59, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on January 15, 2024. Born on April 5, 1964, in Portland, Oregon, David was the beloved son of Dan M. Currier and Colleen Finney Currier of Seaside, CA. He is survived by his parents, as well as his brother, Dan J. Currier of Salinas, CA. David will also be deeply missed by his precious Chihuahua, Scooter.
David had a rich educational history. He graduated from Beach Grade School in 1978 and went on to graduate from Benson High School in 1982. While attending Benson High School he was prominently involved with KBPS (1450 AM), a Benson High School-run radio station in Portland. Additionally, in 1982, David was selected as one of seven Benson High School seniors to be official drivers for the Rose Festival Princess Court. He then pursued higher education at Lewis & Clark College, majoring in Marketing & Communications on scholarships.
Throughout his career, David achieved numerous accomplishments. He started his career in the Marketing Department at Moyer Theaters, where he masterminded the promotion of the MGM movie "Spaceballs" in 1987. Later, while employed at US Bancorp, David received the largest award ever presented in the 'Talk to US' employee suggestion program, earning him $10,000. His suggestion resulted in substantial savings at the US Bank Consumer Loan Service Center. David then transitioned into IT consulting, primarily in the financial area of Fortune 500 companies.
In his free time, David had diverse interests and hobbies. However, David will always be remembered for his passion for Walt Disney and his theme park creations. He frequently visited the parks with friends and family, creating cherished memories.
David Jay Currier's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy will live on through his achievements, his love for his family, and his unwavering passion for Walt Disney. May he rest in peace.
