

Diana Lynn Silkwood, 71, passed away on May 15, 2026. Born on November 29, 1954, Diana spent most of her life in Winter Park, where she built a life centered on family, friendship, faith, and service to others.
Diana was known for her generous heart, her love of gardening, and her incredible talent in the kitchen. Whether tending to her garden or preparing meals for family and friends, she found joy in caring for others and bringing people together. Her warmth and hospitality left lasting memories for everyone fortunate enough to know her.
A devoted member of the First Unitarian Church of Orlando, Diana spent much of her adult life attending services and helping organize and support community events through the church. Her commitment to helping others extended throughout the community through her volunteer work with the United Way and Meals on Wheels. She also lovingly cooked and served meals at the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida, sharing comfort and kindness with those in need.
Diana is survived by her sister, Francis; her son, Eric O’Rouke, his wife Lisa O’Rouke, and their children Oliver and Reese; and her daughter, Rhea Loring Sontag, and her children Graham and Hannah. Her family was the center of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Diana will be remembered for her compassion, selflessness, and unwavering love for her family and community. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched through her kindness, generosity, and service.
